Sunday was a comedy of errors for me. I was planning on meeting up with Grav3yardGirl at her meet & greet at Downtown Disney at 3pm. I was up half the night ill with stomach issues. I woke up an hour later than I planned because of being up ill. When trying to leave my house, I kept forgetting critical things like my sunglasses and my phone. Once Ray and I got in the car, we realized we needed gas. Once we got to Downtown Disney at 3:15, we realized we’d parked on the wrong side, so we power walked across Downtown Disney to the Spitting Stitch at the Disney store, arriving at 3:30. Much to our dismay, there was no huge Swamp Family gathering. There was no one in sight. I tweeted and checked Instagram, but didn’t see where people had gone.
Ray and I shrugged, then proceeded to stroll leisurely around Downtown Disney for a bit. We grabbed some Häagen-Dazs ice cream, then we drove back to Tampa to meet our friends Lea & Stevan for dinner. When we hit 275 and Veteran’s Expressway in Tampa, someone messaged me that Bunny had been moved to the Rain Forest Cafe. We _almost_ went there because Ray really loves it, but we decided against it! Ah well, maybe next time! I was sad to miss Bunny, but I had a really great day regardless.
Anyway, my makeup looked fabulous and totally perfect for a Swamp Family event. I decided to try out a new color that I purchased from BFTE called Tropical. It’s my new favorite color from BFTE because it’s simply amazing to me. It’s a green with deeper blue shimmer, almost velvety, nearly matte. I love this color.
Fun fact! In every state that I have lived in, except the state I was born, I’ve lived near some sort of swamp or marshland. Why? I have no idea. But there you go!
While I didn’t have time to do a step by step tutorial on my makeup, I can tell you how to achieve this look.
1. Start by applying your eyeshadow primer.
2. Apply Urban Decay Walk of Shame to the browbone, blending downwards.
3. Apply BFTE Tropical to the lid and crease, blending out the edges.
4. Deepen the crease and outer corner with Urban Decay Spell (black half).
5. Line the upper lash line and wing it out into a cat eye with the Jesse’s Girl Liquid Eyeliner Pen.
6. Apply the It Cosmetics Tightline.
7. Apply Too Faced Better Than False Lashes Mascara.
8. Highlight on the browbone and at the inner corner with Sugarpill Lumi.
9. Line the waterline with the Nyx Wonder pencil in Light.
