During Sephora’s VIB sale I purchased Stila After Glow Lip Color in Tangerine Dream. I wanted a bright orange-red shade for Spring and Summer and it seemed to fit the bill perfectly. I was also very excited to see Stila put out bright colors, since I’m all about brights!
Tangerine Dream – bright tangerine
Vivid Violet – rich violet
Festive Fuschia – vibrant fuchsia
Electric Pink – hot pink
Rave Red – bright red
Party Pink – deep pink

The Website Says
Dazzle by day and glow by night. Stila’s blacklight responsive lip color contains florescent pigments that are three times brighter than conventional colors, creating a vibrant pop of color in the sunlight. Once the sun goes down, blacklight sensitive pigments cause the product to glow when exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light.
Features & Benefits:
Now, you know I’m all about blacklights, things that glow in the dark, and UV Reactive Toys. So of course I had to put this to the test with my blacklights!
Stila After Glow Lip Color Tangerine Dreamin Blacklight and Manic Panic Electric Lava(which also glows under blacklight) for the orange in my hair.
As a reminder, or in case you don’t know, blacklight reactive means it glows under blacklight. This means it will not it glow in the dark unless it’s near a blacklight. If you’re just outside in the dark, it’s not going to glow.
Wearing Tangerine Dream.
From the first time I put Tangerine Dream on I couldn’t get over how moisturizing it felt! It’s easy to build up and it certainly does leave a stain behind! From a distance I thought my lips still had color hours after wearing, but upon closer inspection in a mirror I could see where I needed to touch up. The color itself is more on the glossy side that will eventually fade down into more of a matte stain, but it’s not drying at all on me. It really does have a sweet cherry flavor, but it’s not overpowering to me. I liked it so much that I went out and purchased Vivid Violet (yes, I’ll review it too ).
I really love lip crayons like this (of course you already know this), and I’m so excited that Stila put these out in bright colors and a wonderful formula. I’ll definitely be picking up more. I feel like this is a very flattering shade on my skintone and it’s so much fun to wear under blacklights!
I really hope that Stila decides to keep the After Glow Lip Colors around (I know they’re supposed to be limited edition, but I can dream, right?) and that they expand the line. I think this is the best Stila formula that I’ve tried so far for lip products. I’m in love!
Have you tried the Stila After Glow Lip Colors? Do you like blacklight reactive products?

LeahD Thanks Leah!
I actually just went ‘*sharp intake of breath* oooooooooooooooooooh’ when I saw the pics in the uv light. Looks amazing.
mollance Aww thank you!
Vivid Violet is a passable dupe for MAC’s Heroine for those who can’t get their hands on it/don’t buy MAC. It’s glossy rather than matte, but they are very similar in hue.
Elizabeth Christjansen Thank you for the tip! Fantastic to know.

Looks great on you! I have yet to try my first Stila product… I know, I know, that is bad, but in my defense, the brand is difficult to find around here.
Kissandmakeup They’re certainly worth a try!

YAY blacklight photos! I have put blacklight pictures on my blog before and someone said it really freaked them out in the comments! I think they look sweet.
Vulcan_Butterfly I’m glad you like them! I love my blacklights and don’t use them often enough anymore.
