Before Christmas, I received the Anastasia Hypercolor Brow & Hair Powders for review. I’ve been playing with them ever since. I’ve reviewed them elsewhere, but realized I never did a formal review here! They’re so great, they need to have me sing their praises. While these can be used as hair chalk for temporary vivid pops of color on your hair, I’ve stuck to using them to fill in my brows to match my rainbow hair.
TALC, KAOLIN, ZINC STEARATE, MINERAL OIL, DIMETHICONE, ETHYLHEXYL PALMITATE, LAUROYL LYSINE, ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN, HEXYLENE GLYCOL, CAPRYLYL GLYCOL, PHENOXYETHANOL, MAY CONTAIN/PEUT CONTENIR: (+/-) MICA, TITANIUM DIOXIDE (CI 77891), RED 7 LAKE(CI 15850) AND RED 27 LAKE (CI 45410), BISMUTH OXYCHLORIDE(CI 77163)
In the Pink – super bright hot pink (not eye safe)
Ultra-Violet – sort of a heathered violet
Teal Tornado – vibrant teal
Electric Blue – nearly neon blue
Mega Watt Green – chartreuse
Anastasia just put out 3 new shades in the Hypercolor formula:
Lola Lilac, Red-licious and Royal (blue).
Swatches of all 5 shades.
Wearing Electric Blue. See the tutorial.
Electric Blue thoroughly impressed me. I think it’s the brightest of the bunch!
Wearing In the Pink.
Wearing In the Pink. See the tutorial.
In the Pink explicitly says it’s not meant for use around the eyes. I decided to risk using it in my eyebrows but Anastasia does not recommend it for this purpose. I think it matched my Hot Pink hair nicely.
Wearing Teal Tornado. See the tutorial.
I think Teal Tornado a beautiful true teal, leaning neither green nor blue.
Wearing Mega Watt Green. See the tutorial.
Mega Watt Green is super plush and a beautiful chartreuse shade.
Originally I felt like Ultra-Violet wasn’t very pigmented. However, after wearing it several times, I actually love how it looks. It might be my favorite of the bunch!
All of these colors can be used safely on your hair to add a pop of color without spending the time to lighten and color your hair. For your brows, you can apply directly with a brow brush. You can also use a brow wax to make the color more intense, and then set it with clear brow gel. I tend to prefer to use it dry rather than with a brow wax or gel. I think they work perfectly with my rainbow hair and I love that right now I can wear any of them and they all coordinate with my hair.
I so desperately wish that these were available in Anastasia’s amazing tinted brow gel formula, too.
These Hypercolor Brow Powders are the brightest things that I’ve ever seen out of Anastasia and I absolutely love them. I think they’re an awesome product and I’ve been using them non-stop for over 6 months.
What do you think of the Hypercolor Brow Powders? Have you tried them?

I’ll have to give these another shot. I have the purple one and I kind of hated it. It crumbled and wouldn’t leave any color in my hair and didn’t seem to want to do anything on my brows either. I think maybe I should have just picked another color, though. (I’d had the pink in my hand and switched it at the last minute, doh!)
Cassykins The pink is great, very pigmented
