Today I’ve got the Top 10 Best Cruelty-free Faux Glow Products. While I don’t typically get my glow on, I’ve researched the best products to help you if you want to rock a healthy fake tan! Since laying out in the sun to get a tan can lead to skin cancer, there are many better options available if you want to add some color to your complexion.
Beautisol Summer Glow Dark Self-Tanning Lotion
As you know, I reviewed the Beautisol Summer Glow Dark Self-Tanning Lotion a few months ago and I was really impressed by the way it gave me a natural looking tan and didn’t turn me orange. It also didn’t stink. It has no stinky smell, unlike every other self-tanner I’ve ever seen. It really gives a beautiful, streak free tan if you follow the instructions. You ABSOLUTELY MUST exfoliate your body thoroughly before you use this self-tanning lotion. Following Sinead’s tips will give you the perfect tan.
Too Faced Chocolate Soliel Matte Bronzer
This is an award-winning bronzing powder that smells like chocolate! What more do you need to know? It’s a matte bronzer, it neutralizes red tones and evens out your skintone.
bareMinerals Glow for the Bronze Kit
Achieve bronzed perfection. BareMinerals READY® Bronzer sweeps on a golden bronze glow, while the complementary shade of bareMinerals READY Luminizer enhances your complexion with a pink nectar glow. Paired with the Angled Face Brush for a flawless application, the final effect is a stunning radiant glow.
tarte Park Avenue Princess Matte Waterproof Bronzer
I have this bronzer in my Aqualillies for tarte Palette and love using it as a contour. It’s lightweight, waterproof and does double duty since you can use it to contour or as a bronzer.
Meow’s Sunsplashers give you a sheer color wash for a healthy glow. You just dust them anywhere the sun would splash you, like your cheekbones, the bridge of your nose, a little at the chin and shoulders, etc. Available in over 30 shades, customized to your foundation. I wear Siamese and Sphynx.
NARS Blush Bronzer Duos
NARS now has 5 differen blush bronzer duos available. There’s Orgasm & Laguna, Sin & Casino, Deep Throat & Laguna, Desire & Laguna, and Oasis & Laguna. Laguna is the lighter bronzer shade and Casino is the darker bronzer shade. I love the Look of the Deep Throat and Desire duos.
Senna Brilliant Bronze
Senna makes a beautiful bronzer in two shades. Sunset is a deep bronze with golden highlighter. Dawn is a light bronze with seashell pink highlighter.
Too Faced Pink Leopard Blushing Bronzer
This is too cute not to list! It’s supposed to be a universal bronzer shade that gives you a bronze glow with golden pink shimmer.
Urban Decay Baked Bronzer
UD makes bronzers in 3 shades: Baked (light bronze shimmer), Gilded (bronze shimmer swirled with gold), and Toasted (matte bronze). This product is baked on a terre cotta disc for 24 hours, rather than being pressed. One of these shades is sure to suit your tastes.
Buxom Hot Escapes Bronzer
Buxom makes a beautiful bronzer in two shades. Tahiti is the golden tan (lighter shade). Maldives is the golden bronze (deeper shade). This bronzer smells like toasted coconut! That smell definitely evokes Summer for me.

Ah crap I forgot about my new Laura Mercier bronzer that I love =( Your post reminded me. Dangit lol anyway, safe to say we all love Beautisol, anyway lol
blushingnoir We do! Beautisol is awesome
Your definition of cruelty-free must be different than mine. Companies owned by animal abusers (UD, Nars) aren’t truly cruelty-free. And, Laura Mercier doesn’t make any cruelty-free list that I know about. There are plenty of companies out there that would qualify, but I wouldn’t put those brands on the list.
Suselew2 Hi, you can read my FAQ where I clearly state who and what is cruelty-free to me. Urban Decay is cruelty-free, even though they are owned by L’Oreal and they have issued several statements saying that they will remain cruelty-free. They have not lost their PETA seal. Same with NARS. Laura Mercier has also sent me statements that they are cruelty-free or I would not have included them. As stated in my FAQ, I support companies that are cruelty-free, even if their parent companies are not, which is why I support The Body Shop, Urban Decay and NARS.
Suselew2I just contacted LM again, and they changed the CF statement they gave me so I will no longer be covering their brand. They went from assuring me that they were CF and not sold in China to this “We oppose animal testing and our products are not tested on animals unless required by government regulations. We actively lead initiatives to create alternatives to required animal tests.”
Suselew2 I removed Laura Mercier and updated this post.
Great choices. The more I’m reading the more excited I am to use the Beautisol. I’m glad you mentioned the smell of the Buxom since that would annoy me. I’d love to try the Senna Dawn.
Marcia beauty info zone Yeah I haven’t smelled it personally but I know the Too Faced one smells like chocolate!

Nice picks!! No Tokidoki? I forgot that one bronzer as well!
KellyLoganGould the ONLY reason I didn’t include the tokidoki bronzer that I love is that you can’t buy it anymore.

I really like both Park Avenue Princess and Pink Leopard Bronzing Powder. I don’t wear bronzer but these both work really well as contouring blushes.
