Recently I was introduced to a new (to me) brand called NCLA. Nail Polish Canada was kind enough to send me the color Sugar Fix from the Sweet Revenge Summer Collection.
About the Brand
NCLA is a luxury nail company based in Los Angeles. They have been featured in Vogue, Glamour, Elle, and In Style, and have found themselves a celebrity favourite worn by Beyonce, Kesha and Miley Cyrus. They’re sold through Nail Polish Canada & Shop NCLA. All NCLA nail lacquers are 100% free of DBP, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Camphor and never tested on animals.
Sweet Revenge consists of Sugar Fix (grey with multicolor glitter), Mostly Sunny With A Chance of Sprinkles (light blue with multicoloured glitter), and Not So Sweet (a light pink crème).
Of the three colors in the Sweet Revenge collection, this is the polish I was most interested in. Shown above is two coats. Sugar Fix has a sheer midtone grey creamy jelly for the base, interspersed with large fuchsia and teal blue glitter, and a smattering of tiny coordinating glitter. While this makes for a really interesting polish in 3 of my favorite colors, the consistency of the grey makes it a tad difficult to work with. I found it hard to get the color to apply evenly.
However, you could easily layer it over another grey polish (or a black polish for that matter) to fix the problem. I actually can see myself wearing this polish year round because grey is a neutral. Overall, I really like this color combination!
What do you think of NCLA Sugar Fix? Have you tried this brand before? Are there any must have shades?
