Recently I picked up the Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Brow Mousse to review. I’m always on the lookout for a way to have better looking brows. I picked the shade Rich Brown, as that was the darkest shade available. Let’s have a look!
The Website Says
Take the guesswork out of arch perfection with Tarte Amazonian Clay Brow Mousse. The formula’s light, airy consistency allows the product to naturally glide onto brows and blend seamlessly—no worries about harsh lines or waxy build-up. The Amazonian clay intuitively identifies your skin type to deliver benefits and restore harmony. This mousse minimizes oil around the hair follicle to balance skin and keep pigment in place, while naturally nourishing and hydrating to prohibit product from flaking or transferring.

Here I drew a line along the bottom of my brow and you can see that the shade blends well with my natural color.
Here’s my brow filled in with Rich Brown.
How I fill in my brows with the mousse
1. Line the lower eyebrow line.

I love this brow mousse! I feel like it gives me the most natural looking brows of anything that I’ve tried to date. My only complaint is that it doesn’t come in black. I prefer to fill in my brows with a black color when I have teal blue hair. I feel like brown just looks odd. But because of how nice I feel this product makes my brows look, I overlook the color not being my favorite.
I get all day wear with this product and I don’t have to apply a separate brow gel, since the mousse helps to hold the hairs in place. I feel like it’s easy to apply. While it does come with a double ended brush, I find that the brush is too thick for my natural brow shape, so I use the thinner Anastasia Double Ended Brow Brush.
While this mousse may not be everyone’s cup of tea, I really like it. I feel like I get natural, nice results with it without looking too harsh like I’ve used a brow marker. I also feel like this is a pretty quick way for me to do my brows, so I appreciate that, too. I like the tarte Amazonian Clay Brow Mousse and it’s one I would definitely repurchase!
