Rainbow Honey the Kraken and KBShimmer You Go Ghoul swatches, review I Bought This

Happy Teal Thursday! For today’s Teal Thursday I’ve got a new brand (to me) to show off, along with a favorite one. I used Rainbow Honey the Kraken as my accent nail with KBShimmer You Go Ghoul. This is basically a variant on black and teal, with gorgeous glitters in golden-green, teal blue, fuchsia, purple, and orange as fun accents. This is also the mani that I was wearing in several of my recent videos. Many of you emailed me to ask, so it seemed perfect for a Teal Thursday.

Rainbow Honey The Kraken – $10
The Kraken is a marine jelly with a blue and green glow filled with glitters, shimmer, and the sea monster’s own holographic Crashing Boom Bang!
My  Take
Stunning teal blue jelly with gorgeous golden green and blue glitters. I’m happy with the coverage 2 coats but you could do 3 if you wanted. The formula is easy to work with.

KBShimmer You Go Ghoul – $8.75
This Halloween polish is one that you will wear year round.  A black jelly sparkles with glitters in grape, berry and orange for a polish even a witch would love.  Best in two coats over black or three coats alone.
My Take
I adore all the pretty purple, fuchsia and orange glitters in this black jelly base. I love KBShimmer’s formula as it’s easy to work with.

Rainbow Honey the Kraken and KBShimmer You Go Ghoul swatches, review

For this manicure here’s what I did for the main color:

  • 1. Cult Nails Get it On Base Coat
  • 2. 2 coats of Cult Nails Nevermore
  • 3. 2 coats of KBShimmer You Go Ghoul
  • 4. 2 coats of KBShimmer Top coat

For the teal accent:

  • 1. Cult Nails Get it On Base Coat
  • 2. 2 coats of Rainbow Honey The Kraken
  • 3. 2 coats of KBShimmer Top Coat

While I hate glitter removal, these colors are both worth the effort. They’re beautiful and I’ve gotten a ton of compliments while wearing them.
