Mermaid Costume

Mermaid Costume

Saturday night was my friend’s Halloween party. The theme this year was Circus of the Night. I didn’t know what I was doing until the very last minute and this is the outfit that I threw together. I went as a mermaid whose tail had turned into legs, but she hadn’t lost her scales. I figured that would fit for a freak show / circus.

  • Funhouse corset top (not a real corset, though I think I’m going to take out the stupid plastic boning and replace it with real boning.)
  • Mermaid Leggings (from this amazing seller on Etsy, Alicia Zenobia)
  • Tokyo Crush Triflect Midnight Flames Wig
  • crocs heels (see a similar style here)

Circus at Night Halloween Party

If I’d had time, I would have done a gradient from Zoya Storm to piCture pOlish O’Hara (black to red gradient) on my nails.

My makeup lasted all night, thanks to the UD All Nighter. My lipstick didn’t budge at all. I really did expect it to stay in place between the primer, lip pencil and matte formula that I chose. The Melt Cosmetics lipsticks are really good with sticking around and not coming off on your teeth! We didn’t get home until after 3am so I was really pleased with the results. I always love Halloween and this was a great party.

What did you do last night? What are you planning on wearing for Halloween?

You looked absolutely gorgeous! I LOVE those leggings! The girl in the bottom left pictures looks like one of the twins from the American Mary movie!

love dark hair on you and the lipstick it gives your an amazing glow, I kind of 2o ties look. You should try it more.

Which should I try more often? The 2 toned lips? or the wig? :)

        • Icequeen81

not the wig im not fan of the wig to be honest War I ment is ucolour your own hair in that shade love how that nearly black hair and red combo looks with your skin color, yeah also the two toned lips looks great on you. with your porcelain white skin.

Wonderful costume! It definitely suits you. Love those tights! They’re making me think I should accept that invitation for H party this Saturday night if I could get those in time lol. Also, love your lip look. Does the UD lip insurance primer really make that much of a difference? just curious

It really does help but I already was going for a long wearing lip look because I was using mattes. I didn’t want to have to touch up at all while i was out, so what I do in situations like that is – exfoliate, moisturize, blot off excess moisture, apply lip primer, apply lip pencil, blot lightly, apply lipstick, blot lightly and sometimes if necessary apply a 2nd layer of lipstick and blot lightly. my lipstick was on and perfect all night.
