Phyrra’s Pretty Little Elixir Hair Masque

Phyrra's Pretty Little Elixir the Miracle Moisture Masque for Hair Vegan Cruelty Free

I’m so excited to share this with you! So as you know, in 2012 I went cruelty free on my blog. One of the things it meant me giving up was my Redken Strength Builder Plus, my go-to hair masque for all the hair coloring that I do. I searched for a cruelty free version of this masque and found a lot of nice masques, but nothing exactly like what I wanted. When I was lamenting the loss of this masque to Nicki, she said ‘why don’t we create one together?’ and the idea was born! So we worked for several months on perfecting a cruelty free and VEGAN version of my dream hair masque – Phyrra’s Pretty Little Elixir Hair Masque!

I’m pleased to announce that Phyrra’s Pretty Little Elixir Hair Masque is now available for pre-sale! We will be taking pre-orders starting December 10th, and shipping beginning December 15th. All orders should be received in time for the holidays! You can order here.

Transform your chemically treated hair from dry and dull to smooth and sexy. Phyrra’s Pretty Little Elixir has the right cocktail of ingredients to reduce the signs of external damage and return hair to its lustrous, soft state.

It was very important to me that this product be cruelty free and vegan. All of FutureDerm’s products are cruelty free, so I knew that wouldn’t be a problem. I wanted to take the extra steps to make it vegan because I know how important it is to create products that can be used by everyone and don’t hurt our animal friends!

The ways I use this hair masque:

1. Quick

After you wash your hair, apply PLE from tips to roots, distributing evenly with a wide tooth comb. You want to make sure that you’re coating all of the hair. Leave it on for 10 minutes.

2. Deep

After you wash your hair, apply PLE from tips to roots, distributing with a wide tooth comb. Wrap your hair with cling wrap or a dye cap.  Then use a soft bonnet dryer (like the one I have here) to help apply the masque. Leave in as long as you like.

3. Wrapped

After you wash your hair, apply PLE from tips to roots. Then wrap a warm towel around your head and leave on for at least an hour. You could leave it on overnight if you wish.

So exciting! I don’t have colored hair, but it is really long and somewhat damaged from heat styling, and not so gentle care. Do you think I would benefit from this as well?

      • http://www.phyrra.net/ Phyrra

I think so, it’s a moisturizing masque, so it should help with heat damage.

What a great idea! Going cruelty free has been hardest with hair care. I also used a Redken product that I’ve had a hard time replacing. Having such a hard time finding replacement products made me realize how difficult it would be for people who color their hair. There is such a need for quality and I’m glad to see you have filled one of the biggest needs!

      • http://www.phyrra.net/ Phyrra

        Thanks Alison!

    • Carolyn Buss

Wow!! This looks great, Phyrra! I have to say I would be first on your list if I hadn’t decided that bald is the way to go for me! (At least for now!)
I hope you sell lots of this and one day when I decide to grow my hair back, I look forward to purchasing and using this product some day! :D

        Thank you!

    • Chia-Yi Liu

congrats phyrra! what an accomplishment. can you tell us a little bit more of about the fragrance? is it chemical or plant based? what does it smell like?

      • http://www.phyrra.net/ Phyrra

Thank you! It smells like an exotic flower to me.

        • Chia-Yi Liu

what about how the fragrance is derived?

          • http://www.phyrra.net/ Phyrra

I don’t know, but I will ask Nicki for you :)

          • http://www.phyrra.net/ Phyrra

She said it is derived from fruit extracts

            • Chia-Yi Liu

              thanks!
