Best Cruelty Free Beauty Products of 2013

Today I’ve got my Best Beauty Products of 2013 for you. These products are the ones that I’ve been reaching for again and again over the past year. These are products that I would repurchase or have repurchased. They’re the ones I can’t live without!

Supergoop SPF 35+ Save Face Oil-Free AM Moisturizer

Supergoop SPF 35+ Save Face Oil-Free AM Moisturizer
I’ve been wearing this moisturizer non-stop for months now. Every time my tube gets low, I just re-order it. It’s pretty much my perfect daytime moisturizer. It doesn’t burn my eyes. It absorbs quickly. It’s not too greasy or too dry. If I need extra moisture when using it I use Paula’s Choice Super Antioxidant Serum underneath it. See my review.

Skincare companies take note – this packaging is perfect! It is an airless pump. You get every last drop of product out if it and it stays stable. I love it!

Foreo Luna

Foreo Luna
The Foreo Luna has replaced my Clarisonic Mia as my favorite sonic skincare cleaning device for several reasons. One, it’s multi-purpose. It works as both a facial massager as well as a cleaner. Two, it doesn’t require me to repurchase brush heads. Three, it’s easier to keep clean compared to my Mia (ever look behind the brush on a Clarisonic? Eww) Four, the charge lasts forever. You rarely have to recharge it Five, it’s gentler on my sensitive, rosacea skin than my Clarisonic Mia with the sensitive brush head. See my review.

Paula's Choice RESIST Super Antioxidant Serum

Paula’s Choice RESIST Super Antioxidant Serum
I keep repurchasing this whenever I run out because I love it. I love serums and this is my favorite because it spreads easily and adds extra moisture where I need it without getting greasy. See my review.

FutureDerm Time-Release Retinol 0.5

FutureDerm Time-Release Retinol 0.5
This is a retinol product that uses time release technology to work over 8 hours. It’s the strongest retinol product that I can use because of its time release technology and it does not irritate my sensitive skin. See my review.

My Konjac Sponge

My Konjac Sponge Facial Sponge
I love my little sponge. I use it twice a day most days. It’s gentle, yet effective at cleaning my face. See my review.

Ellen Lange Retexturizing Skin Peel Kit

Ellen Lange Retexturizing Skin Peel Kit
Seriously the best peel that I’ve ever used. Everyone needs to try this. See my review.

Paula's Choice Gentle Touch Makeup Remover

Paula’s Choice Gentle Touch Makeup Remover
I’ve gone through three bottles of this and it’s a staple for me. It works well at removing my makeup without irritating my skin. See my review.

Cocoa Pink Princess Poo and Argan Therapy Creme Conditioner

Cocoa Pink Princess Poo and Argan Therapy Creme Conditioner
Princess Poo is a SLS, paraben-free shampoo that is my absolute favorite right now. Argan Therapy Creme is a lightweight conditioning creme made with argan oil and coconut oil that moisturize the hair but doesn’t weight it down. These are my go-to products for my hair. I have them in Naughty Pumpkin and Black Chocolate Raspberry scents. See my review.

Phyrra's Pretty Little Elixir Hair Masque

Pretty Little Elixir Vegan Hair MasqueI’m biased because I created this product with FutureDerm for me, but I think it’s the perfect hair masque if you bleach, dye, or heat style your hair. It does an amazing job of adding moisture, silkiness and shine, as well as reducing the signs of damage.

White Sands Infinity Hair Spray

White Sands Infinity Finishing Hair Spray
This is the best hair spray that I’ve tried all year, and I’ve tried several. It does a fantastic job of holding my style in place. See my review.

Bath & Body Works Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin

Bath & Body Works Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin Shower Gel
Yes, I’m obsessed. I just picked up 8 bottles for $2.20 each from their semi-annual sale.  Use Code BBW20OFFJAN for an extra 20% off your entire order (expires 1/31/2014) I go through bottle after bottle of this stuff.

Tokyomilk Dark Femme Fatale Collection - Tainted Love No. 62

Tokyomilk Dark Femme Fatale Collection Tainted Love No. 62
I recently fell in love with this perfume and have been wearing it non-stop. It’s got notes of dark vanilla bean, sandalwood, and a hint of something sweet with orchid.

Tarina Tarantino Pearl Glow Primer

Tarina Tarantino Pearl Glow Primer
I love this primer! Finally, I have a cruelty free replacement for my MAC Strobe Cream. It gives you a beautiful iridescent pink glow. It’s so gorgeous!

Palladio Herbal Foundation Face Primer

Palladio Herbal Foundation Face Primer
This is a really good cruelty free replacement for my favorite Smashbox Photofinish primer.  My friend Mandy reviewed it, which caused me to give it a try and I’m glad I did! I think it does a great job.

Urban Decay Anti-Aging Eyeshadow Primer Potion

Urban Decay Anti-Aging Eyeshadow Primer Potion
I’m all about anti-aging products and I love using this primer. See my review.

NARS Eye Paints & the Adult Content Palette

NARS Eye Paints & the Adult Content Palette
I LOVE the NARS eye paints. I own almost every color out currently (I don’t own the greens or brown). They’re fantastic as both shadow and liner. The Adult Content was a total lust have for me and I’m so glad I picked it up. I love Zen for a contour or natural blush. Desire is a perfect pink blush. You can mix it with Deep Throat for a pinky peach. See my thoughts.

Cover FC CC Cream Time Release Tinted Treatment SPF 30

Cover FX CC Cream Time Release Tinted Treatment SPF 30
I absolutely positively love this CC Cream. It’s filled with anti-aging ingredients, helps to reduce hyperpigmentation, is vegan, and it brightens the skin. If I apply this with a wet beauty blender my skin looks perfect. Like, seriously perfect. I don’t always feel like I can get away with wearing a foundation type product all over but I often feel I can just put this on my t-zone and under the eyes and look good. This is a must have to me. See my review.

It Cosmetics Celebration Foundations

It Cosmetics Celebration Foundation Original and Illuminating in Fair
I LOVE the finish of these foundations. Whenever I’ve had a professional peel done, the Celebration Foundation is the only thing my aesthetician is comfortable with me wearing. I’d given up wearing pressed foundations for a while and gone with liquids and creams because I felt like they looked better on my skin. With rosacea, sometimes I have dry patches and powder emphasizes that. These foundations do a great job of making my skin  look flawless and it doesn’t get cakey. I like the Illuminating version better than the original because it gives a slight glow to the skin. See more here.

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Skin Conceal

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Skin Conceal
I love this concealer! It does a fantastic job of concealing dark circles without creasing. Just set it with your favorite setting powder and you’re good to go all day.

Cult Nails Nevermore

Cult Nails Nevermore
I use this polish all the time. I’m on my 4th or 5th bottle. It is the PERFECT one coat high gloss black creme nail polish. It’s beautiful on its own. It’s amazing with nail art.

Urban Decay Nail Color Holiday 2013 Zodiac Swatches, Review

Urban Decay Zodiac Nail Polish
This color is as beautiful on the nails as it is on the eyes. I don’t often like green on my nails. However, this shade is dark, complex, and sparkly, so perfect! See my review.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
This is hands down the best mascara that I’ve ever used. I’m currently on my second tube of it. I have long struggled with mascara and clumpy lashes. If I look through my older makeup looks I CRINGE at the clumpy lashes. However, I finally hit on Goss Makeup Artist’s video on using a lash comb to apply your mascara. This works wonders! You need to have an amazing mascara to get amazing results. This is my must have mascara. See my review.

Too Faced Instant Attitude Brow Lift

Too Faced Instant Attitude Brow Lift
This makes it so easy to clean up around the brows, to highlight under the brows or at the inner corner or waterline. The creamy vanilla shade is perfect and eye brightening.

Wayne Goss Brush Set

Wayne Goss Brush Set
The Wayne Goss brushes are a game changer for me. Specifically the eye brushes. The foundation brush is ok, and I like the blush brush but I LOVE the eyebrushes. The push brush is PERFECT for getting black eyeshadow on my upper waterline or at the roots of my lashes. The lip brush works well to blend out a matte browbone highlight or to apply lipstick. The 6 brush is my holy grail for blending and applying crease color.  I love the 5 brush for outer v work, and I’ve tried it for smudging but I sometimes feel like it is not stiff enough for that. The 3 and 4 are perfect for blending in the crease, too. I like the 3 for applying a highlight, too. These were my beauty splurge of the year and worth every penny to me. See my review. I’ll be keeping an eye out for more eye brushes from Goss.

Sugarpill Bulletproof

Sugarpill Bulletproof
I’m on my 2nd Bulletproof. It’s perfect for darkening the roots of lashes, lining the eyes, contouring and shading in the crease.

e.l.f. Studio Makeup Mist & Set

e.l.f. Studio Makeup Mist & Set
This is my favorite cruelty free dupe for MAC Fix+. See my post for how I use it.

Cinema Secrets Brush Cleaner
I would be lost without this cleaner! Once this bottle runs out I’ll be repurchasing it. It makes it so easy to clean my brushes. See my review.

NARS Light Reflecting Loose Setting Powder

NARS Light Reflecting Loose Setting Powder
This setting powder is amazing! I think it makes my skin look flawless. You’re much better off using a powder puff to apply it than a brush.  See my best ways to apply loose setting powder for tips. I like the way it helps creams and liquids to last. See my review.

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette
I’m  not normally a neutrals girl but this palette makes my blue-green eyes pop! This is the perfect palette of work-safe neutrals that you can also use for sultry sexy smoky looks. Strange, Blackheart, Trick and Nooner are my favorites. See my review.

Silk Naturals Naked 3 Clone Kit

Silk Naturals Naked 3 Clone Kit
I love this vegan, cruelty free, talc free, phthalates free, bismuth free, paraben free version of the Naked 3 palette. It’s especially great that you can get colors like Cache, Torrent, Parallel, Link and Portal individually. See my review.

Morgana Cryptoria Semi-Loose Eyeshadows

Morgana Cryptoria Semi-Loose Eyeshadows
I am in love with the Morgana Cryptoria semi-loose eyeshadows. I hope Mel decides to expand the line because I think it’s amazing. I especially love the duochromes from the Dr. Who inspired Don’t Blink collection. See my review.

Urban Decay Theodora and Glinda Palettes

Urban Decay Glinda and Theodora Palettes
I absolutely love these palettes and would repurchase them again or the colors individually that I like. Jealous, Spell, Beware, Broken, Tornado, Aura, Magic and South are all stunning. See my Glinda review and see my Theodora review.

Urban Decay Zodiac Moondust Eyeshadow

Urban Decay Zodiac Moondust Eyeshadow
While this eyeshadow formula can be tricky to work with, I absolutely love Zodiac. It’s such a stunner. See my review.

Makeup Geek Pigments

Makeup Geek Pigments
I was very excited when Marlena released pigments! I especially love New Years Eve. See my review.

Too Faced Pretty Rebel Palette

Too Faced Pretty Rebel Palette
This is the best palette that Too Faced has ever released, in my opinion. It has a fabulous mix of workhorse neutrals and fun colors. It’s got a gold, silver, black, hot pink and deep blue… all of which give you lots of flexibility. See my review.

Fyrinnae Winter 2013

Fyrinnae Because Cats, Snowboarding, Sled Puppies
These three shades are amazing. I love the blue sparkles in the white gold of Sled Puppies. I love how Snowboarding has a strong blue glow to the purple shade. Because Cats is a stunning complex grape violet. See my review.

Darling Girl Oh the Horror Collection

Darling Girl Oh the Horror Collection
So many great colors in this collection! Camp Blood, The Mummy, Monster Within, Lonely Assassins, Seven Days Later, Heads Will Roll, Death By Unicorn Here’s Johnny, The Boogeyman, Frankenstein… all are beautiful! See my review.

Urban Decay Revolution Lipsticks

Urban Decay Revolution Lipsticks
I love the formula, I love the colors, and the variety! I hope they expand the line with a purple, black and gold. I especially love Anarchy, Jilted, Venom, Obsessed and Native. See my review.

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar Pencils

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar Pencils
I’m glad I decided to DIY some lip tar pencils, thanks to the easy to follow tutorials from Mai and Koren. I reach for the pencils and then take them with me. See my post.

Melt Cosmetics Matte Lipsticks
I love matte lipsticks and these bright lipsticks are great overall. Mattes are great because you can add gloss on top, wear them on their own put glitter on them, etc. They don’t easily fade, feather or bleed. See my review.

Tarte EmphasEYES™ For Brows High Definition Eyebrow Pencil Tarte EmphasEYES™ For Brows High Definition Eyebrow Pencil
This makes doing my brows naturally very quick and easy. I’ve got Rich Brown, which works well with my natural brow color.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Brow Mousse

Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Brow Mousse
When I want more defined, stronger brows I reach for this brow mousse. I’ve got Rich Brown and Taupe. Between the two I can custom mix the shade I need. See the review.

Tarte Skinny SmolderEYES™ Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liner

Tarte Skinny SmolderEYES™ Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liner in Onyx
I purchased my first Tarte Onyx liner in the Stop & Stare kit and fell in love. I purchased a back up during Sephora’s recent sale for $10.  See my review.

These are my must have products from 2013. I’ve covered skincare, hair, lips, eyeshadows, liners, just about everything though I’m sure I’m forgetting something.
