Tarte Colored Clay CC Primer

Tarte appears to have released several new products on Sephora’s website for their Spring 2014 Collection. The first one that caught my eye is the Tarte Colored Clay CC Primer.

About the Tarte Colored Clay CC Primer
Buff your way to complexion perfection with this revolutionary correcting stick. Infused with Tarte’s new color-correcting Amazonian colored clay, this powerful, skinvigorating™ primer blends easily to help brighten skin, even skintone, blur imperfections, and neutralize redness and discoloration. Use this multitasking corrector before foundation as a color-correcting primer or alone as light coverage for an allover flawless look. Its antioxidant-rich formula delivers the perfect balance of color correction and coverage with a soft, matte finish.

$34 for .51 oz.

Shades Available
Fair, Light, Medium, Tan, Deep

Tarte suggests applying it directly from the stick, starting at the center of your face and blending outwards. You can use your fingertips or a foundation brush.

I’m definitely curious to see how these work. I like foundation sticks and I don’t often see them.

Tarte Lipsurgence™ Power Pigment

Tarte Lipsurgence™ Power Pigments are new for Spring 2014 too. These are inspired by the cheek stains. I’ve been a huge fan of the Lipsurgence (see my review), especially the mattes. I’m curious how these will compare.

About the Tarte Power Pigments Lipsurgence

Infused with vitamins, shea butter, and a hint of mint, LipSurgence power pigments also deliver a burst of pure moisture to hydrate lips.

What do you think of the new items from Tarte for Spring 2014? What are you excited by?

  • From our partners
    • liyeun

Woah, I just wish that Sephora Malaysia carries that many items here! *le sigh*
Anyway, did any of these caught your interest?

      • http://www.phyrra.net/ Phyrra

Yes, I’m really interested in the CC Cream

    • http://10amBeauty.com/ Alison M

Wow, way to go Tarte! I love Amazonian Clay Flush blush and I’m happy to see it joining the regular line. I have yet to try the Cheek Stains, but they have my interest as do all three of the new liners!

      • http://www.phyrra.net/ Phyrra

I haven’t tried the cheek stains in a few years but I love the powder blushes

    • beautybabbling

I’ll be curious to see the new Tarte blushes in person. I’m really interested in True Love. Flush has me a little confused because they had a blush in Flush (which I own), and it looks a lot different from their current picture. I’m curious about the CC Primer. I’m really tempted to pick it up in the TSV being offered next month.

      • http://www.phyrra.net/ Phyrra

They redesigned their cheek stains. So I think they have the same names, but new formula and new packaging.

        • beautybabbling

I’m talking about the powder version. The one that I have is really deep and bright. The new one looks a lot more subdued.

          • http://www.phyrra.net/ Phyrra

Oh! You know, I’m not sure about the powder blushes. I just thought they added new shades.

            • Jennifer Innes

Looks like they cut the cheek stains and the new lipsurgence’s in half by size, the regular blushes are the same size though. Too bad, I love the lipsurgence’s but not if they are going to be half the size for that price.

        • Alycen Vance Treloar

The new packaging is same price for HALF the product as before :( That’s not a redesign, that’s a ripoff.

          • http://www.phyrra.net/ Phyrra

            oooh! I didn’t realize that!

            • http://www.phyrra.net/ Phyrra

Wow yeah, I just checked Amazon since they have old stock and the Cheek Stains list their size as 1 oz / 28.4 g. But the new packaging says .5 oz. That’s quite a price hike for the amount of product.

          • http://www.phyrra.net/ Phyrra

The information on Sephora’s website is misleading then because it says ” The new, sleek design offers the same great formula and size in a
slimmer, easy-to-use applicator while minimizing waste to reduce our
            carbon footprint”

    • Mimi Rose West

I am a kinda pissed about the cheek stains being smaller! Tate makes really good makeup and are already over priced! why do they need to be more greedy?! that being said My first 4 tare 12 hour Blushes came today and really are that amazing! I’m justgetting in to the beauty community online. This is actually my first post on any site! so thank you for all your help Phryya I’m half Asian with hooded lids and your tutorials have been AMAZING! I love color like you and its been so much fun to recreate your looks on my eyes. SO MUCH LOVE! p.s. ur like super pretty (not relevant but so true!)

      • http://www.phyrra.net/ Phyrra

I definitely feel like the text above is misleading where it says “. The new, sleek design offers the same great formula and size in a
slimmer, easy-to-use applicator while minimizing waste to reduce our
        carbon footprint.”
Since they’re offering 50% less product for the same price, that’s a huge price hike.

I’m so happy to hear that you find my tutorials helpful! Yes, hooded eyes can be tricky :)

        • Mimi Rose West

tricky yes, but there mine and I love them! plus we need less eyeshadow! I’ll wait on the cheek stain but I want the cc cream. I also am picking up a few lip surgence. I have one and am In love! debating on the mattes us the new pigments……

    • Adeline B.

I’m annoyed with the cheek stain size change. But only because of he price hike, I think a smaller size (at $15!!) would be far better. But nooo.

    • Stephanie Baum

I really want to try the Clay CC Primer. I fell in love with the Stila CC Cream and have nearly the entire thing left. Oh I wish I had an unlimited beauty budget. Not terribly interested in the new Lipsurgence, especially if they are mid-high shine. I much prefer a matte lip, but overall Tarte has such pretty colors and I love their ingredients, how finely milled the powders are and of course, the packaging!
