This moisturizer was created by two of my close friends, Jen from My Beauty Bunny and Nicki from FutureDerm. Jen wanted to create her perfect night time moisturizer that was suitable for oily skin and packed with antioxidants. Nicki helped Jen to create her moisturizer with great ingredients. It’s exciting that not only did they create a cruelty free product, they went the extra step to make it vegan and they’re in the process of getting the moisturizer Leaping Bunny Certified, just like I am with my hair masque.
To me, this is a lightweight moisturizer with a serum-like texture. When you apply it to the face, it absorbs quickly, leaving behind no sticky or greasy residue. You need to avoid getting it near your eyes or too close to your lip line. AHA moisturizers are supposed to help revive dull skin. The gentle fruit acids help to even out the skintone, leaving you with a more radiant complexion. After using this product for several weeks, my skin has not been irritated from the AHA. On me, I have to add in additional moisture because my skin has been dry like the Sahara Desert. So after I apply this moisturizer, I apply a heavier cream on top. Aside from that, my skin has looked good, and it’s felt soft, too. I highly recommend this product if your skin is on the oily side.
Where does you skin fall in the spectrum for skincare – oily, normal, dry, combination?
Sounds like a good candidate for layering!
Yes, or if you have oily skin, I think it’s moisturizing enough. I’m on the opposite end of the spectrum these days.
