BH Cosmetics from Hautelook

BH Cosmetics Take Me To Brazil Palette

Recently BH Cosmetics was for sale on Hautelook. I was peeking at the offerings and I saw the Take Me To Brazil palette and decided I had to have it. I also picked up one for an upcoming giveaway. I snagged the Daisy blush duo and the Soft Brunette brow pencil. I’ve liked BH Cosmetics eyeshadows that I’ve used in the past and I had purchased several of their eyeshadow singles, so I’m hoping that these will be nice.

About the Take Me To Brazil Palette
This palette is designed for the color obsessed! Inspired by Brazil’s most famous festival Carnival, this vibrant 30 color eyeshadow palette contains an array of yellows, greens, pinks and blues that will be sure to transport you to the colorful streets of Brazil in all its beauty.

I typically don’t order from BH’s site anymore because their $7.95 shipping just seems too high when I compare it to other sites. I mean, Hautelook is $5.95. And I usually get free shipping with sites like Sephora and Ulta, so paying $7.95 just seems ridiculous to me.

Do you ever choose not to shop somewhere online because of shipping costs? Let me know!

Shipping costs are my problem with BH. I really want the Galaxy palette but refuse to pay 7.95 shipping when the item is only a few bucks more.

That’s exactly why I don’t own the Galaxy palette. I wanted it but wasn’t willing to pay the shipping.

I am at the point where I buy almost everything online but I definitely factor in the shipping costs. There are a lot of sites that offer free shipping on any purchase so I will always go to one of those first. For the ones that charge I look at a number of factors: are the products I am buying on sale, and if I want to buy it in a brick and mortar store how close and how convenient is it? If the items are on sale then usually the savings outweighs the shipping charge. If I have to drive a long way in traffic or in a direction I never go and can’t consolidate other shopping trips or if I can’t be sure if the item is in stock I don’t want to drive around or call around looking for it. I will pay for shipping as long as it is reasonable. I also look at whether I am being charged tax, Sometimes it is worth it to pay for shipping if I don’t have to pay tax because the shipping is cheaper than the 10% sales tax I would have to pay.

I agree with you! I’m so spoiled by Amazon Prime (free shipping) and the 2 day flash shipping that I have with Sephora.

It really depends on how much I’m buying from the site that’s charging for shipping. I picked up my galaxy palette along with 2 other things that were also on sale so I didn’t feel so bad about the shipping. Plus I feel $24 bucks for a palette is still pretty reasonable. I love my galaxy palette. It’s my go-to summer palette

All the time, but that’s because I live in Ireland and shipping can cost $30+ but if I want the goods, I don’t have much other choice!

I got the Daisy blush duo too, and I wasn’t really impressed by it :( the blush color doesn’t show up on my skin.

I OFTEN do not complete an order online bc of shipping charges, I just hate it. I’d rather pay for it in the price and have “free shipping”. It really irks me. I can not wait to see what looks you create with this palette. I’d have no idea what to do with it, although the colors are pretty.

All the time! Shipping is often even higher for overseas military bases (like Forever 21 doesn’t do free shipping at $50 to here and it usually costs $14.95, no thank you!) if shipping here is even an option. I normally have things shipped to my parents in that case and have them send it out to me.
