Well, What I do is use a oil mattifier and I also use a makeup setting spray before I put on my makeup, then set it with powder, spray again and it lasts the whole day!
Yeah I think the makeup setting spray is key.
I have such dry skin and so I always use moisturizing products and feel like my face is melting off in any heat. What products, if any, do you recommend switching out or going to a less moisturizing level to help prevent that?
Try amping up your moisturizer with a tiny drop of tarte maracuja oil on the very dry parts. Then make sure you’re using a makeup setting spray like Urban Decay or Model in a Bottle.
I have not tried a setting spray. We are about to get into our hot, humid days shortly and it sounds like the setting spray is the route to take if i want my make up to stand a chance of staying on my face!!! Will invest in setting spray ASAP. Thank you.
Here in Tampa, we drown in the humidity. I feel ya!
Which setting spray would you say you like the best?
The one I used to love was the Skindinavia one for humid weather, but they stopped making it. I like the UD sprays.
I use the UD all nighter setting spray.
It’s really nice
I don’t use foundation, but I find that facial sunscreen with Rimmel Stay Matte powder is some sort of magical combination because it lasts all day, really. My blush tends to last all day too, even mediocre blushes–they just look a bit faded after maybe 10 or 12 hours. I just blot maybe once or twice a day when my skin gets oily. As for my eyeshadow I use either Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy by itself or Jordana 12-Hour Eyeshadow Pencil as a base, and it lasts all day pretty much perfectly, maybe some some minor smudging or wear in the inner corner due to tearing up or touching my eyes. I’ve had really good luck with the Jordana 12-hour eyeliners as well, though they tend to flake a little by the end of the day. I think that’s about as good as it gets for an eyeliner under $5 though.
the Jordana liners are supposed to be great
And they’re cry-proof! …Which is unfortunately very useful to me.
I wish I knew the shade lipstick the model is wearing is gorgeous
I’d try one of the OCC Lip Tars
Amazing red lipstick. I’ve never used primer. Do you recommend me any with good relation quality-price to start with?
Palladio Herbal Foundation Face Primer is great and inexpensive.
Cover FX makes several great primers.
