What Milk Makeup Says About the Blur Liquid Matte Foundation

Milk Makeup Blur Liquid Matte Foundation Review

Designed to make applying and wearing foundation easy, Blur Liquid Matte Foundation offers flawless full coverage at first swipe, leaving a smooth matte finish that looks and feels as light as air. Like Milk’s Blur Stick and Blur Spray, Blur Liquid Matte Foundation instantly minimizes the appearance of pores and imperfections using blurring microspheres, tiny powder-filled spheres that diffuse the light to leave a flawless, soft focus effect.

To keep the lightweight, water-based formula safe, Blur Liquid features an innovative airless tip to minimize air exposure and eliminate dripping—allowing your foundation to stay fresh, the color stay true, and all of it to stay inside the package, not dripping all over your bag.

  • For dry skin, prep with Sunshine Oil (sold separately)or your favorite moisturizer, then apply foundation on top
  • For oily skin, prep with Blur Stick matte primer (sold separately) to absorb excess oil, then apply foundation, and follow with Blur Spray.
  • Shake well to activate blurring microspheres, then apply one or two drops to fingertips or the Dab + Blend Applicator.
  • Apply, focusing on the center of your face and blending outward. Layer as desired.
  • Blurring Microspheres (Powder-Filled Spheres): Diffuse the light to create a blurring effect.
  • Vitamin E: Hydrates and provides antioxidant protection.
  • Bilberry Extract: Provides antioxidant protection to support natural elasticity and suppleness.

Milk Makeup Blur Liquid Matte Foundation Review

I have challenging skin when it comes to foundation. Between being very fair complected and having neutral to cool yellow olive undertones, it makes finding a perfect shade match challenging. I also have dry skin, some texture from acne scarring on a cheek, seborrheic dermatitis, and rosacea. My skin is less dry these days than it used to be and I think it’s because of the sheer amount of water I drink daily.

I gravitate towards light coverage dewy foundations because that looks best on me. However, I love the Milk Makeup brand and even though I am not in their target demographic being that I am 41, I wanted to give the Blur Liquid Matte Foundation a try because I loved their Flex Concealer. I have zero regrets about buying this foundation.

While the Milk Makeup Blur Liquid Matte Foundation is still more coverage than I prefer on a daily basis, it’s very easy to sheer it out to where I like it with my Danessa Myricks Prism FX Hydrating Lotion. It also works wonderfully with the Prism FX as a primer, but don’t underestimate the Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Primer! Milk’s Hydro Grip primer is excellent for skin like mine.

I shared my wear test with the Milk Makeup Blur Liquid Matte Foundation on my Instagram Stories, from my first check-in in the morning to the afternoon sweaty check-ins throughout Epcot, to after dinner and finally at home before I took my makeup off. My blush, contour and highlight were still in place, despite the high heat, humidity, and the amount of sweating I did. I was very impressed by how well this foundation wore for me.

I also love the color match with Porcelain too, as it’s not too pink, too yellow, or too peach. It’s just right for my undertones. I don’t feel like the foundation emphasizes fine lines or dryness.

I know many of you will be happy to see that the Milk Makeup Blur Liquid Matte Foundation is oil-free and silicone-free, as it can be difficult to find foundations without either!

The Milk Makeup Blur Liquid Matte Foundation is my pick for the best foundation for summer! I was thoroughly impressed by how it wore while I was at Walt Disney World’s Epcot in Orlando. And I’m equally impressed with how it wears and looks throughout a normal day chilling at home.

  1. This foundation sounds perfect for the hot and humid weather where we live. I like that its oil and silicone free.

  2. I really need to try this one! It is so hard to find a full coverage foundation that wears well in summer!

  3. I ended up buying this and it is great. But by the end of the days I see my pores so I need to experiment with primers. I have a few days to decide if I want to get the Milk one before the discount is gone.

  4. Ooh if this did well for you in heat and humidity I’m going to have to try it! I’m always looking for makeup that can survive NYC subways in the summer!

  5. This does indeed look fabtastic on you! Even after a day at Epcot! I’d love to see how it holds on on my oily skin.

  6. Hi love!!!! I love Milk makeup!!!! I haven’t tried this foundation yet but it looks so good on you!!!! I’m not comfortable wearing full coverage foundation so usually I go for a bb or cc or a light coverage one… Just add the Milk foundation on my wishlist!!!! Thank you for sharing!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

  7. The Milk foundation looks great on you. I definitely like that it has no oils or silicone. I might have to give it a try!

  8. I’m so glad to see they expanded their shade range a bit. I wanted to try this when it first came out, but nothing matched me. Now I think I’ll have to take a trip to Sephora and ask for a sample!

  9. I’ve always wanted to try Milk foundation! Good to know it can stand up to this ridiculous Florida heat!! I’m located in south Florida as well so I know the struggle! 😩

  10. I’ve always wondered about Milk foundation! Good to know something holds up in this Florida heat!! I’m located on south Florida as well so everything melts off of me 😩

  11. Sounds like it holds up well! Especially considering the heat we’ve been having lately in Florida!

  12. This looks so pretty. I wanted Milk to work out for me so bad but it just wasn’t meant to be </3

  13. Great review! I’ve seen this foundation at Sephora, I should find my shade next time and give it a go.

  14. Just what I need, a foundation that is light and doesn’t run in this summer heat. It looks flawless on you!

  15. It looks perfect on you. Though I don’t usually wear matte foundations and silicone is usually my mature skin’s friend, you really piqued my interest in this foundation with microspheres blurring technology. I will go to Sephora and get a sample!

  16. I’ve only tried MILK’s shadow and a highlighter – both in a sub box and I’ve been pleasantly surprised. Do you feel like it does well in harsh weather? (Like 110 Arizona evil heat)

    1. It did really well in the heat and humidity of Orlando Florida, which was at least 92 degrees out and probably felt like 104 from the humidity.

  17. I’m not a huge fan of matte foundations since they can show pores more easily but this sounds really great. I don’t know if my local Sephora carries this but I’ll find out to try for a sample. Your photo comparison is perfect and helps me so much.

  18. I hate wearing foundation in the summer because I need a full coverage foundation to cover acne and scars. This sounds like it might be the answer. Thanks for the review.

  19. I’m definitely going to see if I can get shade matched and try this out. I have been looking for a liquid foundation – my go to is a powder, for the summer. I can’t stand heavyweight products on my skin so it’s been a challenge especially due to my skin tone.

  20. I’m going to Sephora soon to pick up my bday gift so I’m going to check this out. I prefer dewy foundation but I’m curious if this ain’t too heavy/thick to my liking

  21. I have been wanting/needing a new foundation….. and you caught me with this description.

“ultra-weightless full-coverage foundation with an oil-free, silicone-free formula that lets your skin breathe ”

Have to check into this and order

  22. Oh, that Porcelain shade looks good! I’ll have to check that out. You look so beautiful in all your pictures.

  23. I love how you really go all in with using the same brand when trying it out. Now I really have to take a look at Milk makeup products.

  24. Ughhhh. Every time I see a new foundation I want to try lately, it seems like it’s got fragrance in it. I do not understand companies putting an ingredient that breaks a lot of people out in a product that sits on your face all day.
