Mail Call

I had two lovely packages in the mail today, one of them unexpected.

This one was from my friends at Fyrinnae, so thank you very much! It’s a stuffed poodle, which is adorable and brought a smile to my face, which was sorely needed after such a day. Also with it came some really kawaii lashes and lash glue. This was such a sweet and unexpected gift.

Next was an order I placed with the Haus of Gloi.

I picked up a large sugar creme of their scent in Satyr, which is Italian blood orange drizzled with blackened vanilla. This smells awesome.
I also picked up two sample sizes:
Elevenses – Tiny, little, fluffy orange cakes, sugar coated toasty almonds and a wee steaming cup of black tea.
Honey Tree – Right from the bee hive honey, amplified by seductive essence of vanilla, darkened by a passing waft of woody smoke.

Elevenses smells very cute and orangey, while Honey tree smells like smoky honey, almost good enough to eat.

They also sent a sample of Lavender sugar. Nice, but ewww. I hate lavender.

Fyrinnae Darling Faerie

So I envisioned this look for Ana (and wow did she do a beautiful job, go look at it here) but had never worn it myself. I decided to try it out today, and added some green in her honor.

Shade Descriptions:
Digital Faerie – Stunning sky blue with green shimmer
Darling Misfit – deep magenta-pink with contrasting aqua highlight
Wicked – deep dark purple with turquoise shimmer
We’re All Mad Here – Luscious, sparkling chartreuse! Similar to our ever-so-popular “Omgwtf” (thought a bit more green), but with green and gold sparkles and shimmer, it’s twinkling like a teatray in the sky.
Hint – MAC Seedy Pearl clone, light pink/lavender shimmer
Trainwreck – fuschia
Ryunome – vibrant shimmering turquoise
Ice Queen – icy aqua
Glitter Kittiez – a deep sparkly magenta-pink
Shangri-La – vibrant, azalea purple-pink
Candy-O – wicked fuschia
Winter’s Kiss – palest rose with a cool blue sheen

The first look I tried to put together this morning was an absolute failure, so I took that off and then put this together rather fast. I think it looks neat.

Blue Bag of Happiness

Here’s my recent mail and purchases.

First off, an order from Fyrinnae arrived. No, I can’t own too many purples

Full Sizes:
Shinigami – deep, smoldering royal purple entwined with a scattering of blue and crimson sparkle
Delvian – beautiful purple with pink-purple shimmer
Sleepy Hollow – lush ocean blue with a flash of sage green and gold sparkle
Dressed to Kill – glimmering glowing deceptive gilded green duocolor with flashes of gold and green sparkle
Visual Kei – a bright pink, strawberry cotton candy scent

Free Samples:
Bamboo Revolution – nearly matte vibrant, deep teal green, just a hint of coordinating shimmer
Blackened Plum – deep, darp plum shade with a little white sparkle

Next, my order from mark arrived.

That’s Deep Purifying Gel Cleanser – a super-fresh, soap-free cleanser that thoroughly washes away pore-clogging makeup, dirt and oil without stripping away moisture.
Super ingredients – sugar maple and black willow bark
Sugar Maple extract is a great source of alpha hydroxyl acid to keep skin soft and smooth.

For Goodness Face Antioxidant Skin Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 – a lightweight, oil-free moisturizer that shields skin from UVA/UVB rays and environmental pollutants.
Super ingredients – blueberries and dark chocolate
Dark Chocolate extract has antioxidant properties to protect skin against environmental pollutants.

Angled Contour Face Brush – I’m a little nervous about this because I can’t tell what the bristles are made of.

Next, my Too Faced Fun in the Dark palette arrived. I won this palette in a Twitter contest.

The gloss is slightly cold because it’s been in the 30s here in Florida.

Peep Show – Cool-toned medium pink with gold shimmer
Full Frontal – rich chocolate brown with shimmer
Lucky Charms – Mid-tone green with shimmer

Lips:
Tropical Pink – sheer gloss with sparkle
Free Love Lipstick – Medium-pink with gold sihmmer

Cheeks:
Papa Don’t Peach blush – soft peach
Sunbunny bronzer – dark coppery bronze and lighter soft copper bronze

And I picked up some things from Walgreens.

Sally Hansen’s In the Spotlight, which I used as a topcoat.
Sally Hansen’s Opulent Cloud.
Revlon’s Matte in Pink About It.

Pink About It on my lips.

My 3 Revlon Matte shades.

Opulent Cloud has never been at my Walgreens, but they had a display for it recently and only 2 bottles and I snagged one.

Fyrinnae, My Darling Love

I knew I wanted to wear Darling Misfit today, so I decided that it would work well with Love Potion. I was in the mood for pink with aqua iridescence, and that’s what I managed to do.

Naughty Kitty – a bratty pink with a naughty aqua sparkle and hint of pink iridescence

With the Pixie Epoxy, you can really see the aqua iridescence in Darling Misfit.

While I may dislike the complete lack of customer service from Archetype, I’m not going to shy away from wearing the stuff that I purchased from them on occasion.
