Silk Naturals Pop, Brimstone and Hint

Silk Naturals Pop, Brimstone and Hint

I really love Pop, Brimstone and Hint together! I used to own the MAC color that Hint is based off of, so I knew I’d love Hint. I mixed Pop with a mixing medium on the outer half of the lid, and did the same in the outer half of my crease with Brimstone. I really love the results. This is a pretty neutral look for me, but I think it’s beautiful.

Pop is such a pretty color! I thought from the swatch and description I would love it and I do. Brimstone I took more of a chance with, but it works perfectly in the crease.

Silk Naturals Bewitched Purr

Silk Naturals Bewitched Purr

I wanted to try Purr today and see if I liked it, which I do. I was a bit disappointed with Bewitched. I couldn’t see the purple in it at all, as it looked mostly brown to me. However, in the pictures it does look purple along the lower lash line, so it could be my less than stellar lighting here, as my lighting at home is very good. I do think that the way the outer vee and creased turned out, while very subtle for me, looks very nice. If you’re a fan of more neutral looks, you will really love this one.

Shade Descriptions:
Bewitched – deep purple shimmer
Sonic – MAC Vanilla clone, light golden copper
Purr – Stila Kitten clone, shimmering golden pink

Eyes:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Silk Naturals Purr – on lid and crease
Silk Naturals Sonic – on browbone to highlight and inner corners of eye
Silk Naturals Bewitched – outer vee and halfway into crease, blended inward and lower lash line
Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Zero – outer upper waterline and outer lower waterline
Aromaleigh Lash Primer
Benefit BadGal Lash Mascara in Black
Lorac Brow Pencil in Dark Brown

Also, this is a _terrible_ picture of me, but an adorable picture of Phaedra from last night.

You can see Ray in the background.

Lips:

These colors make me wish that neutral looks look better on me. I tend to feel that they look a bit muddied on me.

Hotel Indigo & Friday Dinner

Hotel Indigo & Friday Dinner

So Friday Ray and I spent the day driving up to Atlanta Georgia. We stayed at Hotel Indigo, which is a nice pet friendly hotel.

Here are some pictures of the room.

This is where I did my makeup and hair.

This is the SMALLEST bathroom I’ve ever been in. In fact, in the middle of the night I got up to go to the bathroom and hit my head on the sink. Kind of embarressing!

The bed was very comfortable! We slept very well.

We chose this hotel because it has high ratings, great rates, a nice staff and it’s pet friendly. My only hesitation on going back is the teeny tiny bathroom with no tub! I often love to relax in a hot bath and only having the option to shower is kind of disappointing.

For dinner Friday night, Ray and I met up with Kristen of Aromaleigh and her husband Steve and our friend Alana. We decided to head to the Georgetown Terrace Hotel’s restaurant, the Livingston.

This is the view looking straight up from the Georgetown Terrace Lobby.

The food was pretty good but the service was less than stellar. We could NOT get our drinks refilled for anything, it was frustrating. I would try to wave down the waiter and he would ignore me. While service was frustrating, conversation was amazing, and we really did have a good time.

This is what I looked like for dinner:

Eyes:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
MAC Pigment in Fairylite
Aromaleigh Lash Primer
Benefit BadGal Lash Mascara in Black
Meow Browbeaters in a 50/50 mix of Black & Auburn

Cheeks:
Aromaleigh Breathless

Face:
Aromaleigh Glissade in 1CL+Alabaster

Lips:
MAC Lipstick in Sweet Thing
