I did my nails this weekend, but I’ve already chipped them due to constantly getting my nails wet washing things and cleaning.
Since many of you expressed an interest in what base and top coats I use, this shows the base and top coat that I’ve been using all the time lately:

Color Club’s Milky White Base Coat (which is awesome and blacklight reactive).
Sally Hansen’s Blue Streak – my ring fingers.
Sally Hansen’s Uptempo Plum – the rest of my fingers. This is a really cool color with red-violet sparks.
China Glaze’s Fast Forward Top Coat.

This picture sort of shows the sparks in Uptempo Plum.

It’s an unexpectedly pretty color, and perfect for fall in my opinion.

I went for a fiery look today and I have to say that I absolutely love Italian Ice! Neon Lights is a lot of fun too. Asphalt is turning out to be very versatile as it can be used for blending or darkening a lot of these colors.

swelter – lustrous tangerine with a pink iridescent highlight and contrasting purple sparkles.
neon lights – soft flame orange with sparks of blue.

Aromaleight Hot in the City – Busy City Street Look

This is another look with Aromaleigh’s Hot in the City collection. Socialite appears to be very much a watermelon pink on me. This look reminds me of a busy city street, with asphalt being the color of the streets, Heatwave being a yellow light, Socialite being a red light, and Luster and Lux being the gleam of street lights.

Fyrinnae Monarch Butterfly FOTD

Fyrinnae Monarch Butterfly FOTD

I based my look today around the color Monarch Butterfly by Fyrinnae.

Shade Descriptions:
Type A – a shimmery, rich garnet red
Dark Magik – shimmery deep metallic red with blue sparkle. Coppery wet.
Monarch Butterfy – deep black with hues of glowing reddish copper shimmer
Polar Bear – White-gold, shimmery and soft.
Lucky – brilliant deep copper

Eyes:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Fyrinnae Dark Magik – on eyelid
Fyrinnae Monarch Butterfly – outer vee and crease
Fyrinnae Polar Bear – browbone
Aromaleigh Black Out – upper lash line
Urban Decay Zero – lower water line
Urban Decay Lucky – lower lash line
MAC Pro Lash Black Mascara

Face:
Meow Pampered Puss foundation in Inquisitive Sphynx

Cheeks:
TheBalm Stainiac in Beauty Queen

Lips:
Fyrinnae Lip Lustre in Type A

My pictures came out badly. It looks like I’m not wearing Polar Bear on my browbone in the picture, but I can assure you it’s there. Monarch Butterfly is a very interesting color, and I like how Monarch Butterfly, Dark Magik, and Lucky look together. It’s really pretty to see the shimmering copper and blue sparks. Of course, Type A seemed like the appropriate lip color for this look.

What do you think?
