Inglot Swatches – Some new shadows

I picked up some more Inglot eye shadows a while ago. I feel like buying Inglot is sort of a crap shoot. I love the pigmentation of the shadows, but the colors! It can be so hard to tell what the color is actually like. It doesn’t matter how many swatches I look at (and some don’t have swatches), I’m still never 100% sure I’ll like a color.

Row 1 = 350 (matte) – 7 (amc shine) – 43 (amc shine) – 345 (matte)
Row 2 = 420 (pearl) – 434 (pearl) – 338 (matte) – 340 (matte)
Row 3 = 375 (matte) – 321 (matte)

Color descriptions:
350 – slightly grey cool beige
7 – light gold with slight orange leaning
43 – bronze with a hint of gold
345 – seafoam green
420 – grey with a hint of mauve-purple
434 – rich grey with a hint of brown
338 – deep teal
340 – blackened teal
375 – red-based purple
321 – blackened navy

Really in this group of Inglot shadows, I wasn’t wholly disappointed with any of the colors. I was disappointed with 338 not being more blue-cornflower, but it’s still a gorgeous color.

I absolutely positively fell in love with 350. For me, it’s a slightly deeper than skintone cool greyed beige shade. It’s perfect for blending out other colors in the upper crease. I’m not sure what else it will be good for, but I’m open to suggestions. I less than three it.

I took a risk with 420 and 434. I thought I might like them. turns out I love them. I need to wear them together because I think they’ll really work with my eye color.

7 is extremely pretty, but I expected slightly more of a rose gold, so was a bit disappointed with it. I do like it with 43 though. They pair up nicely.

I like 345. 375 wasn’t quite as red-eggplant as I thought it would be.

I love 340 and 321. Both are awesome and they just blend so easily! It seems like all of Inglot’s mattes are dreamy to blend. Creating the look below was easy because of how well the shadows blend together.

For this look: TFSI 350 – upper crease/browbone, 338 – lower crease, 321 – outer crease, 340 – outer v, 345 – inner lid, Tarina Tarantino Pure Opal (MAC Fix +) – lid, Silk Naturals Spurs – browbone, Kat Von D blue liner – lower lid, Too Faced Perfect Peacock liner – lower lash line and outer upper lash line, 375 – to define brows, Cover Girl 24 hour Black Gold Mascara

Inglot eye shadows, if you buy the freedom system shadows, are $5 each. (for 2.7 g/0.09 US OZ). I personally think this is a great deal. I just wish they did skin swatches like you see with Illamasqua. I love that

Kiss My Sass Drama Queen

I knew I loved Kiss My Sass Drama Queen from the moment I saw it! When you wear it, it’s awesome on! It brightens the eye, yet it’s not overly glittery. It’s got nice shimmer and shine to it. It’s a neutral, so it will go with anything. While it works well as a highlight shade, I can get away with wearing it all over. I LOVE it with MAC Nebula. That color is such an obsession for me. It’s still available online at MAC, as part of the Daphne Guiness collection.

Revlon Decadent

I know this post is very late in coming, but I still wanted to show you this gorgeous drugstore gloss. It’s Revlon Decadent. Believe it or not, I saw it on the shelves at Walgreen on sale, which reminded me that I should post a picture! It’s a beautiful magenta gloss with blue sparkles.

This is a color I love, but I don’t know that I’ve seen it in a drugstore product before.

Mirabella Timeless Collection Eye Shadow Quad

One of my fabulous finds on Hautelook (affiliate link) in the past few months was a company called Mirabella. I picked up two of their pressed foundations in the lightest shade (Fix Powder Foundation – Perfection 1 -Pale Beige – Very Fair) and their Timeless Collection Eye Shadow Quad. Seriously, I check Hautelook every day, just to see if they have a deal that I might like. Because of that, I end up snagging some interesting things. The eye shadow quad was $20. The foundations were $7 each. It looks like the foundation normally retails for $36 each, and like they’re currently out of Perfection 1. The eye shadows are typically $10 each, while the case retails for $17 and is sold separately.

I haven’t worn the shades yet, but I can say that they swatched easily and are gorgeous. They’ve got good pigmentation. These 4 eye shadows are all available individually.

I think the shadows are pretty. I can tell you I really do love the foundation.
