Blue for Autism Awareness Month

While I’ve been wearing my toes as blue for Autism Awareness month (Illamasqua Phallic with Cult Nails Hypnotize Me on top), I wanted to do a blue manicure for the cause too. Autism is near and dear to me because so many people are impacted by and have children who are at various ends of the spectrum of Autism.

Hyacinth

I did a spring look based off of spring flowers, specifically the hyacinth. This particular flower was my inspiration. I love blue and purple, and the hyacinth is really a gorgeous flower. It does have a lot of variety, too. This is the look that I’m wearing in my Soft Kitty Warm Kitty OotD post. This turned out to be a great look with my glasses.

Unicorns Lounging by the Poolside

I’m wearing blue again today, since April is Autism Awareness month. I keep forgetting to take pix of it but my toes are Illamasqua Phallic with a coat of Cult Nails Hypnotize Me on top, making them an awesome deep blue with sparkly flecks of teal. Anyway, back to the look at hand. I just sort of played with colors again, keeping in mind that I wanted to use Poolside as my central color and went from there.

Red Hot Fun

Today was a day I missed having red hair. I decided to pull out my wig that I picked up for just such an occasion. I also tried a new way to film tutorials, so you can expect a video tutorial of this look later on, too. I wanted to do colors that I thought sort of represented my own eye color, so this is what I came up with.
