Sci-Fi Look – Commandant Mele-On Grayza from Farscape

Sci-Fi Look – Commandant Mele-On Grayza from Farscape

This is my entry for A Bouquet of Beauty‘s sci-fi themed makeup look. Since Farscape has been my favorite Sci-Fi themed show ever (with Lexx a close second), I decided to do a look from Farscape. I also wanted to make it challenging, so I chose Commandant Mele-On Grayza.

Eyes:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Aromaleigh Eye & Lip Primer – all over eye area
Fyrinnae Marshmellow Puff – all over eye area
Heavenly Naturals Vanilla Crush – all over eye area
Aromaleigh Copen – crease
Fyrinnae Soot – crease
Gel Eyeliner in Black Out – upper lashline
Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Zero – lightly at lower waterline/lashline
Fyrinnae Glass Coffin – lightly along lower lash line
Benefit BadGal Lash Mascara

Cheeks:
Fyrinnae Soot – to contour
Fyrinnae Glass Coffin – a bit as blush

Lips:
Aromaleigh Eye & Lip Primer
Fyrinnae Soot – to line lips
Fyrinnae Glass Coffin – to smudge a bit
Heavenly Naturals Vanilla Crush – on lips

Face:
Fyrinnae Velvet Gel Silica Primer
Fyrinnae Mica Free Foundation in Quartz
Aromaleigh Ultra Resolution Finishing Powder in Clear

I really wish it had turned out better. Smudging around my lips proved very difficult for me and I couldn’t figure out the right way to do it. I probably should have used a cotton swab but i was using a smudge brush.

What do you think?

Phyrra’s Cheshire Cat

Phyrra’s Cheshire Cat

Kristen of Aromaleigh suggested that I do a Cheshire Cat look, since I love the Cheshire cat so much.
I tend to love a deep purple with fuschia for the Cheshire Cat:

If you’re really interested, you can see my handmade cheshire cat costume here and another one I wore here. I really am in love with the cheshire cat. :P

I recalled the cute Cheshire Cat that XSparkage did here, so this was sort of influenced by that, as well.

I absolutely LOVE how my eyes turned out :) I sooo need to get a full size of BlueOrchid. It’s got a great texture. And I have no idea how I overlooked BoilingPoint. I’d used it before but didn’t like it, and now I’m just in love with it. Aromaleigh’s Rocks! colors are so gorgeous!

Shade Descriptions:
Sylph – brilliant sparkling jewels in a white plush matte base
BlueOrchid – deep dusky purple orchid midnight blue. smooth matte. blacklight reactive.
BoilingPoint – Deep magenta purple with tiny opalescent pink sparkles.
Funkytown – cool intense purple blue. mostly matte with slight shimmer. rich and regal. blacklight reactive.
Fanclub – Perfect high lustre pink with opalescent blue violet sheen.

Eyes:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Aromaleigh Sylph – all over eye area & again later right under eyebrows
Aromaleigh Rocks! BlueOrchid – lid, into crease
Aromaleigh Rocks! BoilingPoint – crease up onto browbone
Aromaleigh Rocks! Funkytown – on top of BlueOrchid
Aromaleigh Rocks! Fanclub – applied with fiber optic brush along seam of Sylph & BoilingPoint and BoilingPoint & Funkytown
Gel Eyeliner in Black Out – upper and lower lash line for cat eye
Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Yeyo – lower water line
Aromaleigh Lash Primer
Benefit BadGal Lash Mascara in Black

Cheeks:
Aromaleigh Rocks! in Candy-O

Face:
Aromaleigh Glissade in 1CL+Alabaster

Lips:
Aromaleigh Lip Balm in Minty Cocoa Chip
Too Faced Borderline Lipliner in Clear
Urban Decay Lipstick in Jilted – applied with lip brush
MAC Dazzleglass in Funtabulous

And I couldn’t resist this cute picture of Phaedra.

I may have to make this my go-to purple look because of how awesome BlueOrchid & FunkyTown look with BoilingPoint. Applying Sylph all over my eyes really made it easier to apply and blend colors, which was nice. And using Fanclub just at the seams worked out wonderfully.

I hope you like this look as much as I do!
