Changing Leaves Video Tutorial with BftE

Changing Leaves Video Tutorial with BftE

I made a fun tutorial with colors from BftE Cosmetics new collection, the Wizard of Oz-Some It’s a tutorial based on the colors of changing leaves. In retrospect I should have used Pixie Epoxy for the entire look to intensify the colors. However, I like the color placement I used.

Phaedra was such a ham, she’s in a bunch of these pictures.

I hope you like the pictures and I hope you enjoy the tutorial. I didn’t edit very much out and I made sure to show you all of the blending that I did for the look. I’m hoping that this will show you just how easy it is to blend the Egyptian Treasures collection.

The video will be posted here shortly:

I would also love to know what you think of the video, and if me leaving in all of the blending helped.

Meow King Tut

Meow King Tut

Happy Monday! I’ve had a whirlwind of a day! Meetings, meetings, meetings and more meetings, with no time to catch my breath. Here’s the lovely look that I did.

Meow Thunder – to cut crease (above Tutankhamun)

Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Yeyo – lower water line
Aromaleigh Lash Primer
Benefit BadGal Lash Mascara in Black

Cheeks:
Meow Blush in Isis

Face:
Meow Pampered Puss foundation in Inquisitive Siamese
Meow Skinny Dipper in Medium Sphynx
Meow Glow in Chameleon – to highlight

Lips:
Avon Glosswear Lipstick in Golden Glow

I know that this doesn’t look like much in the swatch, but I really like this golden color. It’s golden and moisturizing without being overwhelming. I’m not much of a gold person, but I think this works really well on me.

I think that the blush works really well, too. I really like how this eye look turned out. I should have been more bold with Thunder, and made the line darker, but I’m glad I didn’t, if only for the fact that I was in meetings all day and felt distracting enough!

I had a great mail day, as 2 items that I’d won in contests arrived! One was a book from Yasmine Galenorn. The other was a a Lorac Couture shine lip gloss in the color Couture from Gouldylox Reviews.

Couture is described as a deep dusty rose.

How’s your Monday been?

Meow Royal Miw’s Scarab

Meow Royal Miw’s Scarab

I love how this Royal look turned out! The most interesting thing about these metallics from Meow is how strong the duotone effect is. I sometimes cannot see the other color due to the metallic effect until I tilt my head to the side, yet other people have no problems seeing that color :P

Shade Descriptions:
Miw – metallic meow green with gold undertone
Royal – metallic magenta with bright plum and mauve sheen
Omen – bright purple with blue iridescence
Scarab – bold metallic olive with a chartreuse undertone
Artifact – strong metallic copper with black undertone
Sand Dune – metallic golden french vanilla with duochrome color of white and silver and gold
Chameleon – iridescent glow with gold and copper shine
Nefertiti – cool deep wisteria hued mave with soft sheer
Neutral soft focus – perfectly balanced for both warm and neutral complexions, to contour
Goddess Glow – light golden glow
Haley’s Bite – a fusion of apple tones with a glisten of unexpected green iridescence

Eyes:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy – on eyelid and into crease
Meow Miw – on inner 3/4 lid, inner corners of eye
Meow Royal – on outer 1/4 lid, outer vee, extended out, later wetlined along lower lash line
Meow Omen – applied very lightly with a fiber optic brush on top of Royal and on the edge of Royal and Miw
Meow Scarab – crease
Meow Artifact – in lower crease, blended
Meow Sand Dune – to blend edge of Scarab, blended up
Meow Chameleon – right under eyebrows, blended down
Meow Browbeaters in a 50/50 mix of Black and Auburn
Gel Eyeliner in Black Out – upper lash line
Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Zero – lower water line
Aromaleigh Lash Primer
Benefit BadGal Lash Mascara in Black

Cheeks:
Meow Blush in Nefertiti
Spell Blush in Soft Focus Neutral – to contour
Spell Blush in Golden Goddess – to highlight

Face:
Meow Pampered Puss foundation in Inquisitive Siamese

Lips:
Too Faced Borderline Lipliner in Clear
Spell Gloss in Haley’s Bite

Haley’s Bite is an amazing color. I absolutely love it. It’s a great red with a bit of brown, and it’s perfect for fall. I think it’s utterly flattering on me. I applied it with a lip brush to get the shape to look right, but I probably could have used a colored lip liner, too.

I’m also happy with how Soft Focus Neutral, Golden Goddess and Nefertiti turned out. I think it looks nice.

Finally, I’m happy with the dark purple color of my hair. It feels so soft and silky these days! That’s why I took a plethora of pictures.

Meow Asp, Giza & Immortal

Meow Asp, Giza & Immortal

I’m working from home today because I have a dreaded cold. I tried going into work but my boss sent me home. So even though i feel mostly fine, I had to work from home. Tammy from Meow had a suggestion for a look for me to try, so I just tried that look out. This is a really good look for individuals who aren’t used to metallics, I think.

Shade Descriptions:
Asp – metallic golden willow green
Sand Dune – metallic golden french vanilla with duochrome color of white and silver and gold
Giza – metallic umber with golden undertone
Anubis – metallic chocolate with subtle copper undertone
Immortal – neutral toned golden beige with sheer caramelized chinnamon amber highlights

Eyes:
TFSI
Meow Asp – on lid and into crease
Meow Sand Dune – from crease to eyebrows
Meow Glow in Immortal – right under eyebrows
Meow Giza – outer vee
Meow Meow Anubis – upper and lower lash line
(no mascara because I don’t own brown mascara)

Cheeks:
Nefertiti

Face:
Meow Pampered Puss Inquisitive Siamese
Meow Immortal glow

Lips:
Revlon Spice it up – this gloss was dabbed on and spread around with my finger
Aromaleigh Minty coco chip – applied all over on top of Spice it up
MAC Dazzleglass in Miss Dynamite – applied all over

I really like Anubis. I think it’s a must have from this collection. If you have been reading my blog for any amount of time, you know I rarely wear browns, but trust me. This is an amazing brown.
