Valentine’s Day Look for Never Too Much Sparkle

I ended up doing a sort of classic Valentine’s Day look for Never Too Much Sparkle by using a lot of shades of pink and red. I think this is anything but boring. I need to point out that one of the shades that I used, Make Up for Ever 58 (raspberry matte) is intended for use as a blush only. So please do not use this shade as an eye shadow without knowing that.

Fyrinnae Purgatory

I meant to post this red look last week but I got so busy it didn’t happen. I wanted to do something sort of tonal, so I started with MAC Trax on the lid and then realized that Fyrinnae Purgatory would be PERFECT for the crease, outer lid corner and outer lower lash line. So that’s exactly what I did. I used Inglot 29 on the browbone and inner corners of the eye. Sadly, aside from the lip products I used, I can’t recall what foundation or blush I pulled out.

My First Day

For my first day at my new company (on Tuesday), I went with a cautiously colorful look. I shouldn’t have worried because there was no problem with me wearing color at all. I used MAC Trax on my lid, and MAC Patina in my crease and along my lower lash line. I think both of those shades work really well with my eye color. Also? I love MAC’s Velvet finish, which is what Trax is. I just adore it.

Oogling Ogre

I played around with some of the lovely colors from Morgana Cryptoria’s Halloween collection today. I paired colors I wouldn’t normally wear together and I think the results were really nice. I figured I could wear brighter colors at work today since no one has given me a second glance yet. In fact, I’ve received a lot of compliments on my extensions ;) Yay! So far, new job and new coworkers and new boss are awesome.

I really should have blended the outer crease better. I thought I’d blended it enough, but I was wrong. I was also in a hurry this morning. I need to get up earlier if I want to play with brighter makeup!

Diamond Fianna

Friday’s look was inspired by Zoffe’s look here. It’s not an exact dupe as I don’t own all the same shades she does. Instead of black liner, I used MUFE’s liquid liner in 11 Diamond Burgundy. Honestly this burgundy liner is so beautiful, it made me want to dye my hair burgundy. I love how it looks as a liner against Fairylite, one of my all time favorite MAC pigments.

I started with TFSI. Then I used Blanc Type from the eyebrows to the crease with an ecoTools big blender brush. Next I applied Love+ to the crease and outer corner of the lid with an Urban Decay crease brush. I applied Fairylite to the lid with a Medusa’s lid brush. With a fiber optic pointed crease brush, I applied Poison Plum to the outer corner of the lid and the upper lash line. Then I applied 11 Diamond Burgundy along the upper lash line and outer lower lash line. With an ecoTools smudge brush I applied Embers to the inner corner of the eye and right under the eyebrows. Poison Plum was used to define the brows. Midnight Cowboy was used along the waterline.
