I was recently asked for a few comparison swatches of some citrus hues, so here they are. These are all products that were purchased by me. I believe I swatched all of these on bare skin with no primer. I typically swatch on primer since I have to use eye shadow primer for my eye shadow to stick around for more than 5 minutes.
Shiro Cosmetics has released a new collection called Death Note. It’s inspired by the manga/anime of the same name. That anime has been on my ‘to watch’ list for over a year! It’s supposed to be amazing and everyone at my old office raved about it.
Shade Descriptions:
Heaven Nor Hell – Velvety, shimmery gunmetal gray. Lip-safe!
More Sugar – Creamy shimmer in a rich coffee base. Lip-safe!
Shinigami – Dark royal purple with silver sparks. Lip-safe!
Task Force – Shimmery deep burgundy. Not lip-safe.
Heart Attack – Deep maroon with blue duochrome. Lip-safe!
Second Kira – Charcoal with bright golden sparks. Lip-safe!
Detective – Taupe with strong blue duochrome. Lip-safe!
Mistrust – Dirty orange-brown with silver sparks. Lip-safe!
Divine Justice – Tan-brown with strong golden shimmer. Lip-safe!
Perfect World – Pure (not yellow-leaning) and slightly metallic gold. Lip-safe!

A while back I picked up some of the new Shiro Intertubes because I HAD to have Team Buffy. I’m in complete agreement that Vampires. Should. Not. Sparkle. My favorite vampires do not sparkle. Anyway, I have all 5 of the new shades here for you to see. All of the shades are sheer but can be built up in opacity. I applied them with my finger to the back of my hand.

Friday evening I got my brows waxed and Saturday afternoon I got my hair trimmed. I got the same hairstyle I got back on April 14th. I really love how it looks with the Manic Panic Vampire Red & Manic Panic Hot Hot Pink. Fun! Saturday’s makeup look was with colors from Shiro’s new Science collection (swatches will be posted on Monday). This is Saturday’s look.
For this pink and orange look I started with TFSI. Then I used Because We Can on the lid with an e.l.f. lid brush, bringing it up to the edge of the crease. Next I used Thinking with Portals widely in the crease and up onto the browbone, since you can’t see my crease color with my eyes open unless I do that, with a fluffy angled crease brush. I used an ecotools highlighter brush to apply Honey Lemonade on the browbone (this color is similar to MAC Nylon or Silk Naturals Sprite) and an ecotools smudge brush to apply it to the inner corners of the eye. I used Sabochan along the lower lash line and extended it out for a cat eye effect, then lined the upper lash line. I used Love+ to define my brows and Lash Blast Volume mascara.
