Smoky Teal Eye

Smoky Teal Eye

Today I took the day off of work to go see my friend Johnny Atomic and pose for a few pictures in his upcoming book with Adam-Troy Castro, V is for Vampire.

Anyway, this is the makeup that I wore today. I really love how my eyes turned out.

Eyes:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
creamy matte – all over eye area
MAC Greasepaint Stick in Black – outer vee, a little into crease
Aromaleigh Moonagedaydream – outer vee, crease, blended inward
Gel Eyeliner in Black Out – upper lash line
Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Yeyo – lower water line
Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Zero – lower lash line
Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Flipside – lower lash line
Meow Browbeaters in a 50/50 mix of Auburn & Black
Aromaleigh Lash Primer
Benefit BadGal Lash Mascara in Black

Cheeks:
Hard Candy blush in Pinup
Meow Skinny Dipper in Medium Sphynx
Spell Blush in Goddess Glow

Lips:
Aromaleigh Minty Cocoa Chip lip balm
(later, but not pictured, Aromaleigh Headoverheels)

Face:
Fyrinnae Velvet-Gel Silica Primer
Meow Pampered Puss foundation in Inquisitive Siamese
Aromaleigh Ultra Resolution Finishing Powder in Clear
Skindinivia Spray

To do this look was really easy, and I listed the products in order of use.
First I put on my Primer.
Then I put on Natural Wonder from my lash line to right under my eye brows.
I used the MAC Greasepaint stick in Black lightly in my outer vee and into the crease almost halfway.
Then I used my ecoTools crease brush and put Moonagedaydream on it and brushed from the outside towards the center in the crease.
I then blended a TON. When I thought I’d blended enough, I still blended some more, because I wanted the color to look diffused.
I used my MAC blending brush, my Sonia Kashuk Blending brush, and the ecoTools crease brush to try and blend the color.
After that, I did my gel eyeliner.
Then I used the Urban Decay liners, starting with Yeyo, moving to Zero, and finishing with Flipside.
Then my Aromaleigh Lash Primer, and last my Benefit BadGal mascara.

Hope you like the look!

Parfait Amour & Black Tied Sultry Smoky Look

Parfait Amour & Black Tied Sultry Smoky Look

Today is my 5 year anniversary of being married with my husband. We’ve been together as a couple for almost 10 years. So I got dolled up and we went out for sushi. I was able to cram my feet temporarily into my crocs (as my right foot is still very swollen and this makes putting on shoes a real challenge). I tried to do a purple smoky eye look, since my husband’s favorite colors are black and purple.

Black Tied – a midnight black with a silver white sparkle
Parfait Amour – vivid bluish-violet duochrome with violet opalescent shimmer
Boundless – a hot pink-red
SinisterRouge – A deep but vivid garnet burgundy.

Eyes:
MAC Paint Pot in Bare Study – all over eye area
MAC Parfait Amour – all over eye area
MAC Black Tied – outer 1/4 of lid, outer vee and crease
MAC Digit – on browbone
Aromaleigh Odette – mixed with Digit on Browbone
MAC Technakohl liner in Graphblack – on lower water line
MAC Parfait Amour – drylined under lower lash line and smudged together with Graphblack
Almay Waterproof Black Mascara

Cheeks:
Aromaleigh SinisterRouge – blush
Meow Skinny Dipper in Inquisitive Siamese – in hollow of cheeks

Face:
Meow Inquisitive Siamese foundation in Purrfect Puss
Aromaleigh Pure Moonlight – to highlight
Aromaleigh Ultra Resolution Finishing Powder

Lips:
Almay lipliner in Red
MAC 3D lipglass in Boundless

I wanted sheer red lips, since I felt like my eyes were pretty intense. I should have added more of the black to the outer part of my eye to make it darker, but I’m still trying to improve my skills with doing the smoky eye.

Parfait Amour is the perfect color for this because of its lovely sheen. I’d forgotten how lovely this color was.

Sinisterrouge was a nice complimentary blush color in my opinion. I need to eventually get a full size of this, but for now I’ve still got plenty left in my sample!
